1. Keep your evenings carb free. When you have been eating a poor diet that is high in refined carbohydrates your body can become dependent on these quick energy foods and neglect burning body fat for energy. To retrain your body to burn fat you can remove carbs from your diet after lunchtime for a two week period. This forces your body to burn body fat for needed energy and gets your fat loss back on track.
2. Vary your calorie intake on a diet. Your body is a quick adaptor and will adapt to a low calorie diet by slowing your metabolic rate. When your metabolism is slow so is your weight loss. Keep your metabolism high while you diet by varying the calorie intake day to day.
3. Keep track. When you are finding your body to be resistant to weight loss you will want to avoid any guesswork as to how much and what you are eating. Keep a food journal. This not only gives you a trouble-shooting platform but research shows those who keep a daily food journal can double their loss.
4. Make exercise a priority. The more you move the more calories you burn but good hearty exercise that really elevates your breathing and heart rate can do more then just burn calories, it can help stimulate your metabolism which can make your body a better fat burning machine even at rest.
